another year begun
Know
If everything that appeared to be
Was to go away, to disappear
The legions of Night move unseen whispering
Go,
And find that which cannot be found
Seek inside the waves of self that forever wash
Against the shores alive with thought
No,
Spirit may withstand without a lamp to light the darkened hand
That rules the momentary strand of Night as it swirls and weaves
If everything that ever was seems to stay although it leaves
So,
Without a word to say except the only one that is, exists
Somewhere within the all in all to fall before then rise once more
Until there is that which may become itself again
Know,
