Sometimes I despair for the "new" world my generation has created. It seems like fault can be found in everything and yet on social media, in their thousands, people go out of their way to cause offence

No offence intended...

When the misogynist calls me sexist
And the Carmudgeon says I am rude
If the Racist says I should learn to love
Can their reasons be understood?

This modern world has grown to learn
That offence is so easily caused
Even those who are guilty of such
With their own traits that can't be paused

In simple terms we may be found
Violating thoughts by the WOKE police
Incarcerated for an innocent mistake
Our shackled minds given no release

And so it seems the rules are clear
I can be errant in so many ways
But perhaps I offend you the most
If I'm not offended by what offends you these days
