the Bible

The opposite of a library is a single book, the Bible: the book of books.
Why didn’t the 47th President swear allegiance to his country’s constitution on the Library of Alexandria? There’s more to a library than a single book, after all.

The jury is still out on the burning of the library, or if it was all destroyed at the same time, even if Caesar burnt part of it; the final loss seems to have been after Hypatia, the female philosopher and librarian was killed by mob violence.

Anyway, nice poem Albert.

The opposite of a library is a book burning ceremony. The Library of Alexandria was accidentally burned by Caesar. A sad turn of events because Roman historians liked keeping records. Not many leaders swear on bibles anymore, they are given other options. I suppose it is all about what they hold dear.
