Of What Was

Once in a memory of what was

And of what is yet to be

We met in some shadows lost in the light of what is all

Perhaps it was lost to the greater evil, a masquerade of Night

Wandering amongst ghost parades of the rain and fog

It may have been found as the greater good, (so to say)

Truly something to be found, (it is)

We were looking for the words we were

Almost here and there until what was now began to go away,

So now is another time to write in

The pictures of then portray the dead when young

Worlds were alive inside the eyes of those once so near to touch

A moment becomes an instant of shaded crystal fragments

Growing so to speak rather clouded and oblique

Patterns of meditation and prayer form ladders to climb

Reaching for something beyond a sublime pantomime

And what it was to be,

Once in a memory of what was
