But the people, what about the people? Do they want to give up their jobs, their homes, their children's schools to return to the country they had to leave after losing the war?Why go back to what was once called "their country" if there's nothing left to gain there?
This is a question posed to the exiled King, to his exiled government, to the remnants of his army if they still wish to serve their King. But perhaps the people have no desire to return home... They could easily be replaced by another people who have nothing to do with the previous ones...
