What Fortune's hand unites us? Rare Chance knows!Though like spring you are young, we have this time:
in fellowship, we commune in your prime.
Before long, all your hardships, trials, and woes
at last shall be but misery that goes,
and shuts, away. Once hid in harsher clime,
our link now is revealed in epic rhyme:
the mutual bond we share much stronger grows!
We're inspired, each, though we're both worlds apart:—
in mine, tears drown young lovers deep in crime;
in yours, with brush you paint eternal art:
forever from uniting, space and time
cannot weaken our love;—for to depart
from our fates, ne'er to meet, tempts the Sublime.
