Adolescent Sun

There's that sun, an adolescent, boasting of its strength as it spreads
Warmth across the hearthroom floor. "Hey, kid," I say, "who are you
Fooling? Sure, it's nice in here, but look around. Do you see melting
Snow? You don't. It's barely two degrees." I do not say that I've been
Hearing forecasts that the air will warm a great deal in the coming
Days. If these turn out to be true, I'll tell it it seems grown up now,
And add that I'm impressed.

My geriatric cat would find that hearthroom spot and would curl up on it purring appreciatively. I kind of purr appreciatively for your writing by the way. :o) Blessings, Allen

Perhaps an adolescent weather forecaster, sophomoric at best.
