Last Of Alice

The last time  he saw Alice

She was,slipping through the sand

She glowed golden lit with benzos

That lay hidden in her hand

Some say she played with shadows

Weaving light into rainbows

Suspicious of the persons

Who they were now, no one knows

He will dream of her where the heartbeats live

Alone in the night when the stars arch overhead

Saying prayers they were asking to forgive

For too much desire like all the poems that she read

Written by some haunted pen

Lost in evenings alone

Wishing for it to happen

Only reaching for the stone

That lay hidden in her hand

Glowing golden lit with benzos

He was slipping through the sand

The last time he saw Alice

Ray Miller
Enjoyed very much, especially the first verse, despite the errant comma..
