Living in Japan as a European is like introducing two 50-euro bills into the Japanese currency system—it doesn't destabilize the DNA bank of Japan. Over several generations, those two bills are broken down into 20s, 10s, 5s, 2-euro coins, 1-euro coins, or even cents, blending into the mass of yen. But if your DNA is a nugget—a valuable entity rather than a currency—perhaps in a few generations, your nugget will mingle with the emperor's diamonds...Poetry by Albert Vynckier
