I think this is a bit 'plinkie-plonkie' but some people might find enjoyment in it. Some days this is how I see it, others not. Who knows!
A PLACE OF TRIAGE
Morning light is welcomed inside my room:
Sliding between tiny gaps in curtains
Or around some hard won shutters -
There is always a pathway for it
To enter and break up the dark.
In those low moments when I fail to be
Rock solid in my mental contemplation
Of what will follow my last goodbye,
The thought of light finding its way
Into my darkness is a real comfort.
That light, will be the everything:
It will be love, compassion, and healing
And it will be wholly welcoming to me -
Returning to the place of triage
Where I bathe in unconditional love.
