force against intelligence, who shall win ?

Sometimes I get the impression that Trump, with the full powers granted by the presidency, thought he would be free as a bird to do whatever he wanted—that his only limit would be his imagination... Here’s a president who seems dumber than all those he leads, a president who thus appears at the mercy of his electorate—since the more intelligent govern the more foolish—unless it’s really about brute force. Strength versus intelligence: which will prevail? If intelligence wins in the long run, do we even need strongmen anymore?
Natural selection would mean that over time, the human species would only retain the most intelligent individuals, right?
But as AI rises, humankind surrenders its own intelligence to machines...

Since Trump was elected, it seems unlikely that he is dumber than a large portion of the citizenry. As for intelligence winning in the long run, I see no reason to believe that. Brute force seems to prevail at least so often as intelligence.
