Leave yourself behind

in less than a second she dives,
what's left,
unrecognizable to eyes,
a second ago, alive and well
tonight, her prey, dies

left next morning
is a nest,
full of life
but also a family
facing unpleasent strife

hunger caused her
to give up
for the temptation
but remember this
when it's your stop
at the station

don't let yourself
just die in vain
don't let yourself
become a stain
on the circle we call life

Zoya Zaidi
This is an awsome poem shrouded in mystery, reality, frustration and what can happen in a flash to take a precious life...
Temptation, need or desparation?
What is it that makes us succumb to the pressure of life? it is so difficult to define at times...

Roght Marcus?
An excellent poem!
