Glad

Weep not for the darkness,
to dislodge the anguish so entrenched;
instead, stretch your arms wide.
Embrace these feelings you harbor,
for they prove you alive to be!
Is not loving, all of the experiences of a life?
Is not living, the distress you wish yourself to be rid of?
But once it has gone, will you not only wish for it's return?
Is not loving and living nearly one and the same?
To feel every morsel of agitation, every hope laden heavy with desire,
to feel every sweet tenderness and every stab of rejection,
is that not living, is that not loving?
One does not exist without the other,
they themselves are partners for life.
So weep not for the darkness,
shed whatever saddens you in the light,
let it mingle with the clouds and float high above you,
for tomorrow is yet another day of living and loving,
and you should be glad, you should be glad.
