Summer Storm
A dissapointing drought dissipates all desirable dreamsAnd then -- a cloud
And two, and three... thousands of gray watchmen, guarding us like angels
And then -- a drip
Another
Another
It is raining!
Do you remember the last storm we were in?
The pitter-patter of the rain cannot block out the beating of our hearts
The lightning smiles a knowing smile
A whoop and a holler from the thunder arrives,
My heart is trying to escape my chest
And your laughter drowns everything out...
A disappointing drought dissipates all desirable dreams
But a summer storm reminds me of you.
