The Pearl of the Indian Ocean, This Land, My Birthright, is now being torn apart, Help Us Save Our PEARL.
There's a place beyond we all call home
A place we call birth right
A place we belong and long to be
Where ever we go where ever we roam
We come back to a place called home
Whatever we do a birth right we have
And that is our land
A land now in tatters lying in wrong hands
A land filled with beauty a land of richness
Now destroyed
A land of love torn apart
A land now frightful
No one dares explore
A land turned to war and terror
Sending shivers of horror
A land raped by its own people
When can we see
The glory of a new morning dawn
When can wee see that bright new day
When can see our people smile again
Bringing warmth and love and harmony
When can we see our children live without the hatred
Awaiting a better tomorrow
When will we have that unity?
And stand as one loving our neighbor equally
