The tale of a hungry artist...

Money! Money! Money!
It's not funny!
I have no money,
to go home!

Let me sing you a song
for a penny.

Let me write you a poem
for your hunny.

Just open your wallet,
It will cost you 3 pennies.
That's how much it will cost,
to fake the beauty of your soul. ...
To your hunny!

Well spend money Sir!
You might score tonight
with your hunny.

4 pennies Sir
to take a taxi ,
I have to go home
and enjoy my loneliness;
surrounded by 4 walls
my imagination and I.

This is how i get
your appreciation,
without any affiliation
to your troubled world.
I create what it will
be yours.

4 pennies Sir
this is how much
it will cost to fake
the beauty of your soul.

15 pennies Sir
and I 'll paint you
a self portrait
to hang on your living room,
for your guests to see

and admire your majesty;
That has nothing
to do with reality.

We live in a surreal world;
Where what you see,
Is not what you get.

Condescension becomes
our condemnation.

We live in a distorted reality;
15 pennies Sir so I can eat something,
me the poor artist, that has declined
you reality and live in poverty
but happy!

15 pennies sir and a wild flower, free of charge. ...

A penny for your thoughts Sir!

I can just see you standing on the street corner selling your wares. This is a poignant piece that reveals so much of an artist's heart and condition. well done.
