just some thoughts about choices and freedom, sowing and reaping.

Freedom's Prisoner

Prisoner of freedom
How can that be
Held by all that's given to me
Choices to make
Reaping from mistakes
Feeling the clutches of responsibility
Freedom's song
That's sung throughout time
Brings it's own baggage
That often doesn't rhyme
However, oh, the alternative is darker
And so confining
No room for movement
No time for refining
Options lie in freedom's release
Bringing torment to some
And to others peace
The choices are ours to make
And to take
Leaving the door open for
Another mistake
Deal with it
Accept it
Turn it upside down
Own your freedom
Smile or frown
It belongs to you and to you alone
It is your personal test
Just do your best like all the rest
And live in the freedom
That's you.

Ah, the burden of freedom! Is it not sweet Don't just taste freedom, devour it! It will bring the strength with it to carry its own burden. You are finally soaring as you have always meant to soar; above the mundane. You have finally understood who you are- Cinderella! Not an ugly stepsister! Yes, you must be responsible for the glass slippers, but you have the strength, talent and wisdom to do that well. You've had it all along! That beauty, talent and wisdom bursts forth in every word you write, so write on my beautiful, free sister!

Zachary P. B.
love keeps us free from evil and hate, but the world imprisons us with judgment and scorn and hate...

poetry is freeing. it is like flying but more. it is like a joy ride on the back of the wind, but not for me or you, but for everyone.

and we of course always tend to imprison ourselves, even though we are capable of so much...

wondrous poem dear Kathy. =)

"Freedom means responsibility!"
{Another quote, I created right now for you dear Kathy}
Freedom is precious, very precious, but you can become prisoner of your own deeds, if you don't use it judiciousely!
And this time you have no one to blame- no escape fgoats- only yourself! trhis can be scary, but, is really beautiful!

(Yes, I am back!
A couple of days of catching up and I will be on line as usual!
It has been a lovely holiday for me!)

Saga
Just remember this Every one dies, not everyone really lives, spoken by a new DUI receipient. Sometimes you have to pay extreme prices to maintain something you cherish, but it's only temporary, until the point is made, we want happy, we want to be free, and we will not be confined anymore. Great text!
