This poem is a celebration of love and art... and everything in between.
I'd had a bigger splash with you,
We fell asleep on a van Gogh bed,
Woke with Turner-clouds overhead,
Had lunch of bierwurst
Cut from a Damien Hirst,
Washed down with Picasso wine,
Walked home under a black-sky Lichtenstein,
Repelled the rain with a Magritte brolly,
Shared a Warhol can and Pop Art lolly,
We fell asleep on a Gauguin bed,
Woke to a sky of Rembrandt-red;
Some say that art mirrors life, it is true,
But for me it reflects my love for you.

The sky was Hockney-blue,I'd had a bigger splash with you,
We fell asleep on a van Gogh bed,
Woke with Turner-clouds overhead,
Had lunch of bierwurst
Cut from a Damien Hirst,
Washed down with Picasso wine,
Walked home under a black-sky Lichtenstein,
Repelled the rain with a Magritte brolly,
Shared a Warhol can and Pop Art lolly,
We fell asleep on a Gauguin bed,
Woke to a sky of Rembrandt-red;
Some say that art mirrors life, it is true,
But for me it reflects my love for you.
