Dreams on Starlit Bed

She awakes at dawn, and he's gone.
She cries some tears, bleeds some fears.
She has to leave this place.
She packs her suitcase.

She walks the road, alone and blue.
She climbs the hill, as we all do.
She lights a fire, sparkling red.
She falls to sleep on starlit bed.

Dream a dream of heavens on earth.
Mankind will find precious rebirth.
Dream a dream of lost despair.
Humanity will find it's rest there.

"Dream a dream of heavens on earth.

Such insight and what a powerful last stanza to highlight the entire meaning of this poem!
Finding solace in only in humanity will leave us to die alone, finding peace in God will give us new life everlasting. kathy
