Waiting for attention sucks!


Please Take A Number

Rejection hurts!
Reflection on rejection cures
notions of things that aren't real.
Somewhere, sometime
I will be first.
I will be desired above all else.
I shall not wait in line with my number
for my number will be one.
Until that time,
I will not hurt;
I will heal.

So please take a number,
there are people and things
ahead of you.
Oh, you have been waiting?
Well, I have been waiting too.
It's just that I have more important
things to do.
Catch you on the fly!
If I have time.
If not, wait in line.
