night write
the illuminationcreates expectations
in all our relations
throughout the day
darkness blends
the lines of pretend
and allows for creation
to play
nothing but quiet
incites a riot
that rages in my head
often it sustains
all that remains
of what I'm inspired
to say
it plunders
it thunders
the thoughts
that are trampled
inside my bedazzled brain
leaving me dead
sometimes unread
alone in the unyielding rain
that floods the drain
swallowing the words
that are left unheard
it's really quite insane
I rather write
late into the night
with the moon
hanging over
my head
I am full of wonder
while I sit and ponder
any benefits of going to bed...
