The Good Old Days
Do you remember when you were little childWhat you used to do
How easy it was to have some fun
And let your imagination run with you
How your curious little eyes
Saw the world in such a way
That everything was innocent
And all you wanted to do was play
Those moments when you were scared
And really wanted to cry
But you could brave through anything
As long as mommy stood nearby
What happened to those golden times
When did those moments leave
We still have that kid in us
Or so I tend to believe
Some people just show it more
And others their joy will bless
And then there are others around
Who show their inner child less
But whether you show it more or less
This is what I'll say
Let it show from time to time
To let it stretch and play
