I wrote this for my girlfriend.. who's nickname is 'firefly'....
But a firefly beyond compare
Once mysterious and so far away
But now so close, that is why I'll say
Firefly, firefly in the night
Can I catch you and hold you tight
I'll hold on to you with all of my might
firefly, firefly in the night
You'll light up my day when it is dreary
And when I'm sad you'll make me cheery
You are always there with your little glow
Maybe that is why I love you so
Firefly, firefly in the night
Can I catch you and hold you tight
I'll hold on to you with all of my might
firefly, firefly in the night
I will keep you here right beside my bed
So you will always be in my head
And when I lay down after a long night
You'll be right there with your little light
Firefly, firefly in the night
Can I catch you and hold you tight
I'll hold on to you with all of my might
firefly, firefly in the night

My Firefly
What is this thing that floats on the night airBut a firefly beyond compare
