Ten Years Ago And Ten Years From Now
Ten years ago and ten years from now.
Always searching for thou.
Five miles away and five miles within.
Looking for that peaceful kin.
Leave this town behind, pack your things.
Go get your longings, your sweet yearnings.
Travel to the other side and back.
Follow that yellow-brick railroad-track.
Power failure, fuses blown.
Stranger's land, all on your own.
Cloud's gather, lightning storm.
Thunder's striking, fuses warm.
Ten years ago and ten years from now.
And I'm wiser somehow.
It's not what you find, it's the journey alone,
that strengthens your backbone.
