Another poem inspired by our friend, the computer.
Computer, I'm grateful to you; enshrining my words with
a millenium move; things could be lost..but that's the
job of paper--recorded forever--the artistic endeavour...
but computer I'm grateful to you--being able to
word process my thoughts, views, ideas being renewed:
muse in full view...putting poems on the 'net
words sent through electronic channels...
no feelings of regret, getting my words out into the world:
part of a creative community feeling artistic solidarity...
the basis of a book poetic: a triumphant literary aesthetic;
being able to revise, revitalize, revive...all in a click...
being able to reshape, mould into your vision all because of
an electronic tactician--a friend, an unusual one with a
contradictory call: relying on technical dexterity but also
assisting in artistic clarity--a friend who doesn't understand
Van Gogh, Sylvia Plath, or Shakespeare; but helps to
document artistic finery--yet being a symbol of electronic technology.
