Nothing matters

Nothing matters when you smile
people can't hurt you or make you cry
people can't touch you with their words
'cause you hold on your arms two worlds

When you smile the weather is sunny
no scars on a dirty skin
no mistake, fault, no sin
forgiven by life without being banned

banished fears, anxious days
tears on the window, you're not afraid
she came along to smile to you, but you rejected
just to become silly and hectic

nothing matters when you have flowers in your hair
smiling to the whole world, feeling blank
stones can break your bones, but words can't
they can't just tear into pieces your heart

days with sun, rain in your eyes
lying on the bed, staring on the ceiling
find the reason why, she keeps telling lies
nothing matters when smile fades away

Yes, I agree.
A smile goes farthest, stays longest and costs the least.
The last stanza kind of takes the wind away.
Lies are even worse...
