I wonder how
God started thinking
About giving us feelings

Was it because
A need to feel was there
Or because He couldn't
Feel us

But why give
So many feelings
That they hurt

Was it because
A need to hurt was there
Or because He couldn't
Feel us

Hurt...

These questions of feel
Makes us wonder
Why He gave Him

Was it because
A need for Him was there
Or because He couldn't
Tell us

He feels...

And why Him
To be hurting
As us

Was it because
A need for Him was
To feel how we

Hurt...

Great ponderings. We are supposed to be made in the image of God and so I believe we got all our feelings from God. We have read about his anger and his love in the Bible. We have read about his compassion and his sadness through Jesus. Frankly, there are a lot of things along the lines you asked I'd like to discuss with him too. This poem has brought them all to mind, which makes this a very good poem!

Remember that when He created us He infused a part of his spirit into us so I assume that when we suffer He suffers as well...

So the question here is the following: Can it be that He is a sadomasochist? But if you analyze the psychological profile of a sadomasochist you will realize that this person is far away from perfect. If God is perfect is then sadomasochism
the state of absolute perfection?

If God is love then what kind of unconditional love does he feel for us if He is as you wonder in your poem?
