We left it behind with every step on this earth and it travels everywhere so the message, movement and feeling can be touched and understood.

To Zoya!!!! I hope this reaches you and reaches you well.

Inches

The world is filled with inches of people,
The marks that they have made,
To let people know that they were there,
Once upon a time,
From long ago until tomorrow,
You feel them on the curb,
Feel their markings on the trees,
And touch the engraves on their stones,

Left pieces of people,
For us to observe, analyze and learn,
You need not dig, just feel,
Like you feel the weather changing,
Across the horizon,
A inch is a lesson of love,
Passing through everyway you can travel,
Asking, no, begging us to feel them and understand,

What we need to do,
Where we need to go,
And most of all, rememberance,
Only once, not three times, it all soaks in,
Like oxygen to your lungs,
And what do the inches say?,
That with knowledge, caution controls repetition,
And with ignorance, repetition controls the surround,

Everyone wants above all to be remembered,
By as many people as possible,
As if the important people were inferior of thier presitge,
Vanessa said " Some times the very thing you're looking for is the one thing you can't see",
That is why inches are important and it is also their purpose,
Names are extra, status is meaningless, it is the purpose alone that will and always stand true,
And will always be remembered,

Inches of you and me and everyone else,
Flows thorugh here and around the world,
Touch it, feel it and make it your own,
It is not only a gift, but our purpose on this earth,
Pass on the inches of understanding,
Pass it on, Pass it on,

The dancer moves without a trace,

What a heart you have! You have written with such clarity and understanding. A beautiful poem for a beautiful lady of the bay. I know she will love this one.
