a co-write with the gentlest of souls, Saga
We are surrounded by touches,
And we react to the touches,
In all sorts of manners,
Always in motion,
Always trying to remember the touches,
But they are too fast for us,
So stronger we caress, for the best defense,
Or is it the best offense, doesn't matter,
The object is that we do feel,
And the feeling is shared and enjoyed,
Sharing a caress with you
Always touches something deep inside me
The gentleness of your hand on mine
Or my fingers running down your face
Connects me to you in a way
That others never see
We are captives to this touch
Thirsting for the drink of kindness
Yet hungry for the taste of love
And we are surrounded
By something much stronger than just us
There no boundaries in this place,
All there is are our touches,
It moves earth, wind and even our desires,
It so raw, and yet so gentle,
As the explosion of a soap bubble,
And as new bubbles emerge,
So as much are our touches,
Through hands, feet, lips,
And even our breath,
Sweet and gentle caresses are you,
Wrapped, entwined, encased, just us
The outside world is held back
And touch becomes the healer
Mending our hearts and melding
Each soul's weakened emotion
