SIREN CITY

Left the country side for Siren City.
Fresh, new start, oh, what a pity!
Settled in fine, made my way up.
Until I reached a hillside stop.

Make a connection, impossible dream.
Everybody's forced to go mainstream.
Haunting images of big city life.
Powder guns and a bloodstained knife.

Try to sleep but cannot rest.
Living through this sanity test.
Sirens scream all night long.
Composing cruel nightmare song.

Bang my head against concrete wall,
until I bleed and start to crawl.
Find a gun, self shot down,
in this breakdown town!

Zoya Zaidi
Every town is a break-down town.
Every day there's voilence all around.
Life is short and its value down,
All you can do is to hang around
a little more, an' let it cool down...
