This will never appear as EDITORS CHOICE.
Why?
It is not cute enough, not WASP enough, not pro Bush enough, not lame enough.
Do not support the tall wind
that blows its white religion
all across the oil wells of the east,
do not trust the white snake
that coil in peace talks and vessels
where guns are hidden at all times.
Do not support the white killers
of doctors that perform abortion,
do not support the word of any book,
do not support these lines
if you don't have a mind of your own,
if you do not dance.
This is the subversive side
of the written word,
this is rebellion, revolution,
contraception and free speech.
This is in spite of Jesus,
Mohamed, Krishna or Buddha.
Damn all you imbeciles
leaving all the killing
to others, to the ones you elected,
conveniently burdened
with all grave state shadows
you left behind.
The tabla shall meet the lute
in nights of bright moonshine
and the djembe will surely play
with the longing strings of the saz
in nights of a thousand colours.
No prejudice shall enfold
the expression of this moment,
no invented deity will ever
claim the importance
of what really goes on here,
or any where you are.
