A man mourns his wife
Rising and falling of tides
On our favorite spot where
We watch the sand artist
Carve portraits with sand.
I remember you said you wished
We could stay there forever
For it remind you of all the good
Times we've had together
You also loved the little children
That ran around us where we sat.
I miss listening to your angelic voice
I miss watching your beautiful smile
I miss laughing at your jokes
I miss kissing those red lips of yours
And I hate to sit here alone.
I knew what troubled you
It made me sad
The way you watched the kids play
Not only told me you loved them
But you longed to have one
I remember how you cried when duchess had her puppies
I regret not solving this problem of yours.
You always talked about heaven
And wondered if it existed
I know now you've gotten your answer
I only wish it is what you
Imagined it to be, a beautiful place
With angels that sing like you.
Now I know you are an angel
Sent to watch over me
I believe you have gone to where
You belong, even though your dust
is six feet beneath the earth
I know your spirit dwells among angels
