A Nana Ditty
the bulldog tuggedthe frog leapt
the bee buzzed
and the ivy crept
the cricket sang
the hummingbird hummed
the kitten mewed
and the guitar strummed
making music in the air
wonders of life from my
rocking chair
rocking nana on the porch
in your bonnet rock some more
tell me stories with rhythm and rhyme
sing me a song about a silly time.
rock, rock, rock, rock
barking, squawking
honking, talking
playing, saying
singing, walking
chalking, chatting
chewing, spitting
hold up
there is no hitting
its not fitting
do my bidding
as I'm sitting
rocking nana on the porch
in your bonnet rock some more
tell me stories with rhythm and rhyme
sing me a song about a silly time.
rock, rock, rock, rock
