As promised, here is the sequel to Love Poem 1.
A group of nuns
Sightseeing in Rome,
An unwanted dog
Finding a new home,
A piece of wreckage
Found on the beach,
Touching a friend
Once out of reach,
Remembering to phone,
Or text, or write
To one who is alone
In the middle of the night,
Playing a plaintive tune
For the boy or girl in the moon,
Kissing you like the sun kisses the sea,
Hoping that's how you'll kiss me,
Thinking that we'll set up home
After honeymooning in romantic Rome?
Is it? It is! Wait here, I'm going to ask one of those nuns to take our picture against this fountain...
