This is about me and my best friend.
She and I
The receptive and the active
The outgoing and the shy
As if God in his infinite wisdom
Had thrown us together
To lean against each other
In the hard times
To fight against each other
In the good times
Mother and daughter
Lover and leaver
Work, play, earn, spend
Curve upon curve upon curve
Strength and weakness
Betrayed and betrayer
And if we are a picture of failure
Then also hear the sound of success
In our laughter and friendship
I am woman, hear me roar.

We are all womenShe and I
The receptive and the active
The outgoing and the shy
As if God in his infinite wisdom
