A nightly call.

Sorry

Sorry,
that I woke you up, just wanted to say hello
The call was just a desperate move in time of need.
But you got me back to reality
You know for sure what you had said, as we hung up.

Talking about my longing for you,
I wished that you were here
But something in your voice was changing you.
You didn't tell me why and I was to depressed to recall your words
created by a misty thought your portrait grows dim fades away.

Sorry,
that I didn't know what I was supposed to know
that I couldn't love you more than you wanted me to
Could you call it friendship?
the times we shared these days, the words we spoke?

You're the one I want to be with, your nearness filled with joy
But it's alright I sacrifice the loss,
If you don't request of me that I should be a friend to hang around
trusting and convenient whenever it may suit you
as the world grows wild.

Sorry,
that I'm the one, the one that you don't need
But if I were of another kind, I'm sure it won't be me.
Close your eyes and listen to me,
It's time though it's getting late, to settle things straight.

Could you give your love to more than one or could you not?
Answer me correctly as it looks like that

Anyway I don't blame you as I'm wishing you the best
trusting and convenient whenever it may suit you
as the world grows wild.

this shows real sorrow - we sometimes forget that to say i'm sorry is to say i'm sorrowful; i won't repeat what i may have done wrong; i repent. This has the fragrance of truth, and where there's truth, there's love. You conveyed all this so intently.
