A sonnet.

Selene

Soft shadows dancing throught the night
Paint a picture across the ground
Of all that is good and pure
Touching everything that is around

Blinding white light protrudes forth from the sky
Like a beacon for those who've lost their way
Giving hope for forsaken souls
They no longer will have to pay

Shining forth in beauty and misery
Singing a song of quiet remorse
Showing the world what peace can be
Steering all on life's unsteady course

Gather from it what you may
Soon it will no longer be on display.
