About a girl I felt close with, and how she threw me away with the words 'I found someone'.

Led on.

She led me on.

Am I supposed to stand here?
Stand here and take it all,
take all that she hits me with?
We were the stars,
the stars that are close,
close to the moon at night.
She is greener than grass
brighter than the sun
and it blinds me,
blinds me from who she is.
Am I going to hold it all?
Hold all that she gave me,
to cry out or keep in,
I don't want her to see me.
Eyes of mud or kindness?
Kindness that never fades,
fades away
away forever from me.

It was time for you to go be it by force or fate time had run out. The life of a true poet, a poet with a heart, far few and in between the unappreciative. Great poem! Honesty in print has total respect for that's how poetry remains poetry.

yeah, never a good time to realize the surface didnt portray the interior... very much disillusionning to find out the truth... especially when thrown in face in that manner... you expressed this experience well... thanks for sharing :f

All your poems are great, but this is the one I choose to comment on.

This poem is enormously powerful, since you paint it with so many different emotions. It is full of longing, doubt, awe, and a sense of loss which fills me with sadness.

Yet I am uplifted by it, by your poetic language.
