Dear Mr. Newman,
Why do you hate leaves? It is 7:30 am and I am listening to a sound from Hell.
I must be one of the damned because of the
screams that wake me each morning.
Screeching, monotone wails of mankind's making,
one note, fill my life with a din of torment.
You, Mr. Newman, with your mask, your overalls,
your strap around your back, are sending me
to a rage that has no end until you
TURN OFF THAT FRIGGIN' LEAF BLOWER!
What is one leaf in the wholeness of human tragedy?
As the Beatles sing, "Let it Be," I beg you to enjoy
what innocently falls upon this unhallowed ground of
yours. Just enjoy nature. It happens. Its God's will.
Please, as Waylon sings, "Lets get back to the basics of Life,"
use a
RAKE!
Now that I have written my feelings on paper,
I WON'T HAVE TO SHOVE THAT THING UP...
never mind.
Sincerely Your Crazed Tenant,
Kathy Lockhart
