Heartbreaker
He's staring at her so intently
As if he's wishing that he could have her heart
But he knows that he has to keep his distance
Because she belongs to someone else.
She knows that he wants her so badly
And she wants to remain faithful to her 'true love'
But her mind is drifting
Because her love had started fading
And she doesn't know what to believe anymore.
She knew that distance was hard
And her baby is miles away from her
So, she clings to who she has
And he just happened to be one of those.
To admit that she still has feelings for her past
Isn't something new, because who doesn't ?
But she just wishes that she wasn't so weak
To fight off the forces that are luring her back in
And as much as she doesn't want to say it
She still, does, like him.
But she remembers all the memories
And all the pain that she had to endure
Because of his own shortcomings
And she ended that relation
Because she always felt so used.
But he's coming back to her
On his knees,
Saying he's changed
And she sees it, she knows it well
But she cannot, and will not
Go back to that hell.
And she would never forgive herself
Because, in the back of her mind
She knows how much she means to her love.
She doesn't want to be a heartbreaker.
