There is great clarity in confusion, if you know where to look.
I pull a poem
Out of thin air
Like picking my nose
Or washing my hair
So easy sometimes
Hospital waiting rooms
Waiting for you
So hard sometimes
Pretending to enjoy myself
It's easier to be alone
Than be so popular
I struggle for something to say
All I can do is give
myself away, ribbons in my hair
Friday, I'm in love
I stand there like a broken record
Scratched up by life
From being played too often.

Confusion
Just one moreI pull a poem
Out of thin air
Like picking my nose
Or washing my hair

Than be so popular
