A little fancy for a Sunday morning.
Like little bits of DNA,
Take one letter away
And something else
Is created, a changeling
On the doorstep of language,
One minute you're at the helm,
Drop the 'l' like an anchor
And you're down to the hem,
Or listen to that beat, squeeze out
The 'e' flat and go outside
To swing your new bat!
And whilst outside why not move
All your stacks of lumber, tongue and groove,
And if you get tired doing that
Take an 's' and tack it your lumber,
Go to bed and enjoy your well-earned slumber!

Love Letters
Words on the pageLike little bits of DNA,
Take one letter away
And something else
Is created, a changeling
On the doorstep of language,
One minute you're at the helm,
Drop the 'l' like an anchor
And you're down to the hem,
Or listen to that beat, squeeze out

And if you get tired doing that
Take an 's' and tack it your lumber,
Go to bed and enjoy your well-earned slumber!
