A view of the world in which we all live.
Metal shaped in the name of vengeance,
The people below not knowing of their sin,
Scars of War and the violence within,
Targeted by power misused,
Innocence killed in fire and flame.
We fight in the name of democracy,
As we murder those who don't agree,
Our troops ordered to fight to the death,
At the politicians written request,
Press the button and we are all blown away,
Houses twisted, a rubble filled grave.
Imperialism in the new age,
Capture the towns where the sun no longer rises,
Poppy fields grow every day,
No peace for the soldiers that there lay,
Embrace our culture and be drawn in,
A mindless view of ambition and existence.

This Modern World
Out of the sky falling in sound,Metal shaped in the name of vengeance,
The people below not knowing of their sin,
Scars of War and the violence within,
Targeted by power misused,
Innocence killed in fire and flame.
We fight in the name of democracy,
As we murder those who don't agree,
Our troops ordered to fight to the death,
At the politicians written request,
Press the button and we are all blown away,
Houses twisted, a rubble filled grave.
Imperialism in the new age,
Capture the towns where the sun no longer rises,
Poppy fields grow every day,
No peace for the soldiers that there lay,
Embrace our culture and be drawn in,
A mindless view of ambition and existence.
