Clueless
She gets straight A's.Never skips a beat.
Her hair pulled up tight,
bound by a yellow ribbon.
She lays out her close,
every night,
before her mommy tucks her in.
In the morning she wakes to birds chirping,
and the smell of pancakes.
Puts on her ironed dress,
and ties her hair up.
Her mom curles her pony tail,
as she stares off into space.
When she gets to school,
she sits at the popular table,
no questions asked.
In class,
she knows the answer to every question.
When she gets home,
she burries her face in a book,
filled with stories of love and hate.
Her mom thinks she's perfectly normal.
Her friends think she's fine.
She laughs and smiles,
plays and giggles.
The only one who realizes something wrong,
is her.
She cries hersself to sleep at night.
Not because she's depressed,
or something isn't right.
She cries for the sake of the others.
who think everythings all right.
She cries for him,
who doesn't know,
she cries for him.
