I am sure there are plenty of us who have been hurt and then closed up. Then You will never know unless we let ourselves into it.
"It is better to love and lose than never to be loved at all"
Someone's knocking on my heart
Slowly arousing strange feelings
I yearn for love oh so much
Wonder if I can respond
Open my heart let me love again
My past was a turmoil
Thrashed I got, trauma I bore
Broken and lost and thrown about
So I closed my heart and sealed it tight
Never I promised hurt I will get
Open my heart let me love again
It's been a long time
I have been alone
Now lonely I get and sad I am
The nights are cold no arms to warm me
The bed so large I sleep alone
Making me cry and awake I stay
Open my heart let me love again
By myself I wander
Walking in the park
Lovers I see holding hands
Sweetly cooing to themselves
Something steers inside my heart
Sad I feel, then walk away
Open my heart let me love again
The moon is out the stars are bright
Alone I gaze at that twilit sky
Wishing for love once again
To be wrapped in arms
Filled with love
Open my heart let me love again
Oh why Oh why such tragedy
Had to shut my heart so tight
The pain has healed
Though the scars do stay
To be cheated of love once again
This heart will die I am sure of that
Open my heart let me love again
Where will my life end
Sometimes I think
Sitting in a chair all alone
Old and frail, weak and pale
No one to talk to
No one who cares
Is this the life I deserve
Open my heart let me love again
Bring out the moon
Let the stars fall
So I wish on each one
This love I have found
Is not false but true
This love that I found
Is as pure as the moon
Will always shine
For the rest of my life
Open my heart let me love again
I opened my heart once again
For a love that has knocked
Seeking my love
A love that was seeking my heart all the time
I opened my heart don't hurt it again
Walk into my heart let me love again.
