about a place that holds many bad memories

The Place of Memories

I want to go far from here,
This place leaves me afraid,
A need to have no fear,
No I shouldn't have stayed.

Everywhere I look I see bad times,
The angst of fate,
Written in rhymes.

Memories linger in my mind,
Clocks tick away the days,
Sanity I need to find.

Sitting in the corner all alone,
Thinking and mourning,
Listening to the silent tone.

Watching the spiders spin their snares,
The shadows encroach,
And nobody cares.

This is the place I hate the most,
I need to get away,
Haunting me like a ghost,
Pain and strife accompany me every day.
