conker tree

Where have all the conkers gone?
The trees look ill,
There's something wrong.
The leaves have fallen far too soon.
There all bare now,
but it started in June!
The conkers that made it
out of thier case.
Are too few and stunted.
No more commonplace
Can somebody out there
Please cure thier disease.
Or is this the end of,
these beautiful trees?

Individuality
conkers, i haven't thought about those for years. i used to go collecting them when a kid as did a million others i suppose. i think many today are so used to seeing trees when they move about they see but don't acknowledge. maybe we are all in too much of a rush to appreciate simple beauty these days.

There all bare now, - They are or they're all bare now,
thier disease - their disease

Zoya Zaidi
Trees will never die,
They will come alive:
Let the winter pass,
Let spring arrive,
And
New leaves will sprout,
New flowers'll be in sight...
Let the spring arrive...

(((Hugs Steve fo the lovely poem)))

Love,
Zoya
