I've just turned 55 and it's time for a new beat!

Beach Rap

Rock pool TV,
I look at me,
Peering at trapped sea,
The little life below
Doesn't want to show,
Doesn't want to know,
So, so I walk to the pier
Where people disappear
In their fancy gear,
To be seen in the audience
Of worship and diligence,
In the matinee of glee
Between 2 o'clock and three,
Stalwarts all of variety,
But I'm on the outside
Looking at the ebb tide
And what I can't abide,
The incoming sea
Mocking me, shocking me,
Switching off my rock pool TV.

I like this beach rap. It was a great poem to read aloud. Love the rhythm and rhymes. Happy 55....stayin' alive!
