Eyes Full Of Misery

It's as if the past breathes for me
Inhaling me back into a body of pain
I run and run relentlessly
Short on breath it's inevitable that I don't escape
Haunted by a subconcious desire
That overshadows this oppressive dread
My dark hilarity sparks into a fire
Odiously burning this lament in my head
Facilitated with a brand new reason
To return into the arms of pain
I try to deny myself this act of treason
But I become lost in the smoky embers of this trance again
Assualted by black and bitter emotion
Further inflaming the fury in my heart
Recognizing some fantasies are just destructive notions
I am stoicly degraded back to the very start
You are engraved into my memory
Like an epitaph on a tomb
With eyes full of misery
I cry yet another tear for you
Assaulted by black and bitter emotion
Further inflaming the fury in my heart
These tears of mine could fill an ocean
My pouring heart releases a crimson so dark
Blood paints such an ugly portrait
Tracing along these lines of misery
Showing images I'd rather soon forget
Every memory bringing another defeat
Every thought opening another door
Leading me to a gallery of dreams I missed
On display for me to mourn
Punishment for the life I lived
Mentally enslaved within this prison
With great animosity I am penitent
Relieved now from this peculiar tension
Free now from my foretold contempt
