idle thoughts of water

Nymph Sirens

The waters wanted me to sleep with them
Roll and tumble under starry sheets
Until they got under my skin
Teased my tongue and kissed my lips over and over
While my friends shouted and berated me for wanting it
I cannot deny the vague honey of their lips enchanted me
Their smooth fingers made my heart beat faster
With a single glistening finger on my lips
Keeping me silent, only my eyes
Able to follow their mouths as they giggled around me
My friends pulled me away at the last second
I felt their unhappy cries deep in my soul
As I lay on the frigid grass.
Virginity preserved, I feel vaguely unfulfilled
And yet.....happy.
